Today was going to be hay, hooves, and horse hair. But the weather changed plan. Rain came earlier. Still filled the hay part of the barn before I got drenched. Then I got to rinse off all the sweat and do a little dancing. No reason not to have fun! Maybe hooves and brushing tomorrow. And more seeds being planted 🥦🥕🥬🫘

We are coming out the gate with a strong start! There's already clusters of sunflowers popping up and volunteer tomatoes arriving. I'll move the tomato plants but I appreciate that so many show up right on time

Didn't do much yard work over the weekend but did catch up today. Had my own egg hunt to collect 32!! The horses still have plenty of hair to keep brushing but it's such a calming therapy for me. Yay for Monday reset.

When you want lots of sunflowers you get creative! I have a 50ft bed that I want filled with them so I'm trying all sunflower bird seed. 2 big cups later- plus lots of fertilizer and now we wait. I have no waiting on more fertilizer though. That cycle has no pause

I wanted an asparagus bed since we got this property. But they take years to establish. Well after 15 years of waiting I finally started one. Don't be like me... start it earlier. But also say hello to this sturdy come back!!

Cheap ways to add flowers... watch for sales on potted bulbs! They might be done for this year but those babies come back. There are 6 in each pot that I grabbed for 99 cents!

My favorite daffodil varieties have opened! And there's more bulbs for crocus now added. Adding one thing that will come back is a steady way to improve without breaking the bank. But if they are gifted... add however many new things you can!
