ORAU is proud to support the The Free Medical Clinic of Oak Ridge. FMC provides no-charge primary care services to low-income and uninsured residents living in Anderson, Morgan and Roane Counties. Services include medical treatments, imaging tests, lab work, eye exams, annual physical exams, women’s health, and access to free and discounted medications. Both in-person and telehealth care are available, and services are provided in English and Spanish. FMC regularly hosts events that offer dental care, school and sports physicals for children, and access to other medical care and equipment. The Free Medical Clinic extends its deepest gratitude and remembrance to Dr. Tom Kim, whose compassion and unwavering commitment to serving the uninsured and low-income helped shape access to care across our region. Dr. Kim played an instrumental role in supporting our Founder, Dr. John Auxier, in the launch of our clinical services more than 16 years ago. His legacy of service, humility, and belief that health care is a human right continues to inspire our mission today. We join the community in mourning his passing and extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the Kim family and all whose lives were touched by his extraordinary work.

Dr. Kim's legacy is preserved in his free clinics for uninsured community members, which were renamed in his honor when he retired.
