Well well well, it’s time for another one of Sammy’s Food Reviews! As most know, I have been a connoisseur of fine meats since I was a small child, so when Arby’s announced the latest release of their new steak nuggets I was very intrigued. Since my lovely wife prefers meat of the poultry family and with a more trustworthy source, we compromised and she got dinner with some friends while I was left to visit Arby’s for an encounter I will never forget. After leaving work, I went to my neighborhood Arby’s drive thru where the options were either a steak nugget sandwich, Mac and cheese featuring onion rings as well as the steak bites, and a cup of steak bites alone to indulge. Since I don’t not enjoy the taste or flatulence that occurs with onions, I decided on the cup of nuggets to assess the product in its purest form. I quickly arrived home with my purchase and as I opened the lid both the heat and mouthwatering aroma of the nuggets hit me like a freight train. I quickly let my dogs outside so they would not confuse my nuggets for their own tasty treat. After that I slowly raised a fork full of nugget up to my face to analyze the caramelized texture of the meat. After my analysis it was time to eat the nugget. I placed the nugget on my tongue and was brought back to my parents’ kitchen where they would make pot roast (one of my favorite meals). The bite was rather succulent and satisfied my meat tooth. However I would not classify this tasty treat as “steak nuggets”. “Pot roast nuggets” or “beef clumps” may be a better name. Despite the misnaming, Arby’s has backed up their claim that they have the meats and their meat is juicy. I give Arby’s steak nuggets 8/10 and will be back for more soon!
