Secure Beginnings is a 501c3 non profit dedicated to providing support services such as classes, workshops, counseling, newborn home visits, and more to families with children 0-5 years in Ventura County, California We are dedicated to the nurture of children pre-birth to five, through inspiring partnerships and community resources that address pre and post-natal well being, infant/ toddler develo

pment, and parent education and support. In partnership with parents, health professionals, educators and the community, we create opportunities to connect, to explore, and to engage directly in the development of healthy approaches to early childhood education. What we offer:

The Nan Tolbert Nurturing Center is designed as a responsive environment where parents can be present with their babies or toddlers who initiate and extend their own self-mastered exploration and discovery through play.

Parenting young children takes stamina and resilience. Even with these essential ingredients, young children can tug on our capacity to understand and feel effective.

Our 1:1 Parent Consultations are offered in both Spanish and English, on a sliding scale. Parent Consultants listen and provide practical support to help you navigate your child's behavior, family and life events, and expand your parenting tools with compassion. We’re here to support you in understanding your child with confidence and connection.

It's June! This month's Diaper Bank dates are June 4 & 18 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm at the back of the Ojai Unified School District office 413 E. Aliso Street, Ojai. Diapers are available to all families who reside in Ventura County.

This program is based on research, shaped by parent feedback, and uses a fun and engaging “popular education” style to support learning and leadership.

Join us outdoors for Forest Tots! 🌲
For parents and caregivers with children ages 24–36 months.

Nature has a way of helping us slow down. In Forest Tots, the outdoor setting supports a more regulated nervous system—for both toddlers and their caregivers. This class offers a chance to connect in a calm environment, strengthen your observation skills, and learn from your child’s play in a community of peers.
