Friendships and communication were strongly brewed at this month's meet up. Our Out & About AAC Group attended a virtual Coffee Shop where we ordered drinks, listened to Coffee Shop music, did a word search, and bonded over conversation. Attendees were from all over the country!
Our group's purpose is to offer opportunities to connect to build communication skills over naturally occurring contexts.
Offering opportunities to communicate for a variety of functions makes messages meaningful and more motivating to practice! Today's guests shared what they liked and didn't like. They shared their unique preferences with each other and connected over their shared interests.
