The foundation for healing is a properly functioning nervous system. Once the nervous system is supported, healing can occur at a much more efficient pace AND last!

We know how frustrating temporary improvement followed by the same old problems can be. Get the foundation in order first, then tackle the rest.

Releasing a tie changes structure, but feeding, breathing, and regulation are neurological and whole-body processes. Without support, babies will likely struggle to fully integrate the change.

Care beyond the release itself matters. Here are the side effects of releasing ties without chiropractic adjustments:

1⃣ Increased tension or guarding
After a release, some babies compensate by tightening other areas of the body — especially the neck, jaw, shoulders, or pelvis — making it harder to relax and feed comfortably.

2⃣ Feeding challenges that persist
Even with a “successful” release, latch issues, clicking, reflux, or fatigue can continue if the
nervous system hasn’t learned how to coordinate the new movement.

3⃣ Heightened stress response
A release is a big sensory experience. Without nervous system support, some babies may show increased fussiness, startle responses, or difficulty settling and sleeping.

4⃣ Oral aversion or resistance
Resistance to stretches, latching, or oral work isn’t behavioral — it’s often a protective
nervous system response when the body feels overwhelmed.

5⃣ Compensation instead of coordination
The tongue may have more range, but true feeding requires coordination between the tongue, jaw, neck, diaphragm, and breath — not just mobility.

6⃣ Incomplete functional improvement
Sometimes anatomy looks improved, but parents still notice feeding stress, reflux, digestive and sleep struggles, or slow progress because function and regulation haven’t fully caught up.

The goal isn’t just release, it’s integration.
Supporting the nervous system helps the body adapt, coordinate, and heal more effectively.

Our doctors have specialized training in this area and would be honored to help you through this season. ❤️

If every behavior hack you’ve tried and new disciplinary charts have never worked for your child, it’s not a discipline issue. It’s a regulation struggle.

When the World Feels Like “Too Much” for Your Child 😓⬇️
👉 Loud noises.
👉 Busy stores.
👉 Crowded classrooms.
👉 Big emotions.
👉 Unexpected touch.
👉 Strong smells.

For some kids, these everyday experiences can feel overwhelming, not because they’re “too sensitive,” but because their nervous system is working overtime.

Here’s what’s really happening 👇

Your child’s nervous system is like a computer with too many tabs open. 💻

It’s overloaded and struggling to filter sounds, lights, movement, and emotions the way it’s designed to.

When the nervous system is stuck in a stress response, even normal environments can feel intense and exhausting. That’s when meltdowns, shutdowns, and avoidance start to make sense.

At Optimal Life, we can help support and rebalance the nervous system, so kids can begin to process the world with more ease, flexibility, and calm. Public places feel safer. Transitions get smoother. And families often feel more freedom again.

Based on true events 🤪

When dads see the “proof in the pudding” and the improvements they see in their family members, they can’t resist… at least not for forever 😎

Dads have nervous systems too 🧠

BUT ALSO- Today’s kids are facing unprecedented health challenges — 1 in 4 children now navigates a neurodevelopmental condition, and nearly 40% struggle with at least one chronic health issue.

These aren’t just statistics... they’re our practice members, our neighbors, our future.

That’s why we see more children in our office than ever before. It’s not just about treating symptoms - it’s about stepping in early, because building healthy foundations now is far easier (and more effective) than trying to repair broken systems later in adulthood.

Kids need us more than ever. Early intervention changes trajectories.

Who’s with us in prioritizing children’s health today?
