Our clinic in Oakes will be closed today, Thursday November 9th. We will be out in Ashley, ND for our first day of servicing satellite clinics.

A quick update on insurance from Dr. Larson—
-I am in the final stages of getting Medicaid approval for all satellite locations. We will begin booking Medicaid appointments for December 1st. Please specify on the phone that you are requesting the appointment be billed to Medicaid.
-I have been approved for the medical portion of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. BCBS no longer has its own vision plan; it is contracted out through VSP.
-I am pivoting my efforts towards medical-based insurance applications at this time. I do not currently have contracts with VSP, Eyemed, or other vision plans.

There are a lot of things that come with accepting vision insurance that I was not aware of as a new provider applying to insurance programs. Not all vision plans are created equally. At this point, I am not ready or equipped to accept vision plans. I do plan to re-evaluate vision insurance plans in the future.
