Each year, Sanford World Clinic sponsors Sanford employees to join a life-changing mission trip with the International Esperanza Project.

This year, 17 dedicated team members traveled to Guatemala from April 26 to May 4 as part of the 2025 Team Thankful mission. Together, they performed 73 surgeries and provided 162 patient consultations.

In 2024 two of Sanford Health Oakes Clinic's nurses, Brianna Thielges, RN, and Karlie Sitzler, RN, attended schooling to obtain their Certified Lactation Counselor certificate (CLC). Along with this, they were able to get a grant from BCBS of ND and from ND Health and Human Services to help create a special place for mothers to utilize while breastfeeding. We are happy to announce that the Sanford Oakes Clinic is officially an infant-friendly workplace. Breastfeeding is welcome here!

The "Sanford Knockouts" Relay for Life team is having a bake and craft sale on Monday, December 16th, at the Sanford clinic in Oakes, ND. They will have many sweet treats and handmade crafts donated by local Sanford staff and community members.
