Last Friday, our DART Prevention Coalition of Ocean County celebrated 16 years of community-based prevention work. The team gathered with its coalition members, RWJBarnabas Health leaders, and fellow IFPR employees to reflect on this year's successes and look ahead to programs and initiatives in the new year.

Among the many successes from this year, the event celebrated:

- Placing 3rd for CADCA's Annual Dose of Prevention Challenge
- 3700 Sticker Shock stickers, warning of the risks of underage drinking
- 914 Safe Medication Storage Kits distributed
- 300 Locking Prescription Pouches, to keep medications secure
- 264 naloxone boxes, the opioid overdose reversal medication
- 215 Young Adult Harm Reduction Kits, to reduce harms related to alcohol and substance use
- 143 individuals receiving TIPS training

The team looks forward to expanding on the successes of this year in 2026!

This can be especially true for individuals starting or maintaining recovery from substances or with an unhealthy relationship with substances.

Remember, you are not alone. Our Peer Recovery Program can help anyone looking to build healthier coping skills, reduce their use of substances, and cultivate a supportive community. Our team is here to assist you in accessing local resources that can empower you to thrive.

Join our Training Institute and guest instructor, Monk Inyang, for an Artificial Intelligence 101 training on Wednesday, January 21, from 9 am to noon in IFPR's Eatontown office.

The training addresses questions about the future of AI technology and its role in professions such as teachers, clinicians, peer specialists, and more.

The training is presented by The Learning and Development Initiative at the New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), an NJIT Corporation.
