First day in Hawaii. I’ve come to pick up the pieces and heal.

I was lucky to enjoy a catamaran evening cruise as a perk of being here for a medical conference for the next two days. Saw my first spinner dolphins playing. The spinning is so funny, yet probably serves other more practical/ominous purposes. I’m sticking with they’re just having fun.

First sunset in Hawaii. The clouds rolled in literally in the last two minutes, so the actual sunset was just ok. But it had a beautiful prelude.

I am very sad to announce that as of December 15, 2021, I will no longer be providing primary care services. As I am sure you are aware, providing excellent care requires time and superlative staff. The reality of insurance reimbursements today is such that I am unable to provide the care I feel my patients deserve and also earn a reasonable income. I am still going to be available by appointment for the elective services I offer such as Botox, filler, and Kybella, as well as peptide therapy, PRP injections, and shockwave therapy for multiple conditions. I will also still be offering bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and hormone optimization, but only as a cash service.
I am grateful for the confidence and trust my patients have placed in me and my staff.

Just FYI: We are seeing cases of patients previously vaccinated presenting with mild allergy or cold symptoms test positive for COVID-19. Symptoms are fortunately typically very mild, thanks to the vaccine. 😷

DB MD welcomes its newest staff member, Jeovanna Sanchez. She is an MA, phlebotomist, and receptionist. She is orginally from Panama City, Panama, and recently became a naturalized U.S. citizen. Steve, Travis and I are delighted to have her join the team!

COVID-19 VACCINE INFO:
The city of Wilton Manors has received an allotment of COVID-19 vaccine and will be providing these to seniors 65 years and older. To be scheduled for a vaccine you need to call 954 – 390 – 2101 starting tomorrow, Thursday, February 11, 2021, at 11 AM. The phone line will close when all available vaccine has been allotted.

What a great way to end the work week (last week)...we had the pleasure of having an outdoor patio lunch at Casablanca with the General Manager, Candice Cancino, and the Director of Sales and Marketing, Javier Marquis, of the new AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach today. This is the new construction that is going on behind Casablanca and across from Sebastian Beach.
After lunch, Candice and Javier gave us a hardhat tour of the new property. We were extremely impressed! The pic of the four of us is on what is going to be the 4th level pool deck, which will have a bar, DJ booth, and fantastic views of the ocean and the intracoastal. The corner balcony rooms are also going to have views of both the ocean and intracoastal.
Grand opening is scheduled for May 2, 2021!

Victoria Park Flower Studio is helping to make our front desk area a little brighter with these gorgeous weekly arrangements. Special thanks to Joe Botticelli and Rick Cristo for setting this up for us. 2020 has been a good reminder that we all need to stop to smell the flowers!
