🌿 Understanding the Window of Tolerance & How Neurogenic Tremoring Can Help 🌿
When we’re under constant stress or stuck in a “fight or flight” response, our nervous system is in overdrive. This is where our Window of Tolerance comes into play. This concept refers to the range of stress that we can experience and still stay calm, clear-headed, and able to process information effectively.
However, chronic stress, trauma, or being in a heightened state for long periods can shrink our window, making it harder to stay regulated. In this state, we might feel more reactive, overwhelmed, or disconnected. 😔
🌱 Neurogenic Tremoring is a powerful tool to help us regain balance. It allows the body to release stored tension and trauma, helping to reset the nervous system. These tremors, or shakes, are a natural part of how our bodies release stress and recalibrate, allowing us to expand our window of tolerance.
By practicing neurogenic tremoring, we can: ✨ Release built-up tension ✨ Activate the parasympathetic nervous system (calm mode) ✨ Widen our window of tolerance for stress ✨ Restore a sense of safety and grounding within ourselves
When we feel safe in our bodies again, we’re better equipped to respond to life’s challenges with resilience and calm. 🧘♀️✨
If you’re feeling constantly on edge or overwhelmed, this practice might be just what you need to start the healing process. 🌱
