A huge thank you Brittany 🙌🏾 We recorded this about a year ago and it was recently released, at the perfect moment in time. Since then I was promoted twice at work, most recently to Director of Elder Services. While my professional life has accelerated, I remain in gratitude for my connection to birth. I remain in gratitude for the families I have, and will continue to serve. Not at all gone and never too far. Riding the waves of a break…growing, grieving, healing, loving and learning always! 🙏🏾🖤✨

HOLIDAY COOKIE DECORATING
It has been almost 3 years since the Center held our holiday cookie decorating activity. We are back and working in partnership with to bring together creative qu**rs and allies of all ages to join us on Saturday, December 3rd, 3pm-6:30pm at the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center. Here at the NBDA®, we recognize that there is no one way that a doula can look. There is no mold that a doula has to fit into in order to do the work. We deeply admire Jessie for his efforts in combating the Black maternal mortality rate by doing the good work himself.

Over here we celebrate our differences! We want everyone Black to feel welcome regardless of their gender, sexuality, or anything else that often divides people. We embrace our doulas, and we uplift them.

The point of our platform is to uplift the voices of NBDA® doulas and raise awareness for Black maternal health.
