We are so excited to welcome Ashlee to the East Bay Ayurveda team!

Ashlee specializes in post-partum and abhyanga massage. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Doula, Lactation Consultant, and Ayurvedic Practitioner. She has additional training in many modalities including: western and eastern nutrition, anatomy and physiology, yoga, aromatherapy, herbs, homeopathy, fertility and is certified in infant CPR. She's been a massage therapist since 2005, and has spent five years working and studying at The Ayurvedic Institute, where she worked in the Pancha Karma Center under world-renowned Ayurvedic physician, Dr. Vasant Lad along with Cecilia. She was fortunate to have spent a few of those years studying with Dr. Claudia Welch, author of Balance Your Hormones, Balance Your Life.

Ashlee is constantly updating her education with evidence based classes, research and workshops. She enjoys working with women and the LGBTQ community whether in the childbearing years or not to help them feel their best.

As a massage therapist, she enjoys integrating specific deep tissue work for places that need to get unstuck or relieved of pain with more subtle relaxing therapies such as ayurveda, aromatherapy, and cranial therapy, to approach relaxing both the body and the mind holistically. She has worked in multiple top-rated spas in the country, has trained under exceptional teachers and has been honored to be asked to teach, train and mentor other bodyworkers and doulas in ayurvedic bodywork, spa therapies and birthwork in California, New Mexico and New England.

Ashlee enjoys traveling, learning more about women's wellness, writing and being in nature.

Schedule a abhyanga or post-partum massage with Ashlee using the link below, or contact us directly at contact.eastbayayurveda@gmail.com to see if we can find a time that works for you!

Cecilia Fernandez, AyurYoga therapist and Ayurveda Practitioner will be sharing how Yoga is a sister science to Ayurveda. When utilized for supporting one’s constitution and season can bring us more deeply into how we approach not only our asana practice but the deeper layers of our yogic spiritual practices.

Misea Dinea Iyengar Yoga teacher will take us through a sequence of asana poses with emphasis on stimulating warmth and movement to create space and reduce stagnation. To feel a sense of lightness clarity and circulation.

A light Kitchari lunch will be provided after and before the second portion of our day.

Coupled with this yoga class, Amita Basra Ayurveda Practitioner, RN who is also now one of our ayurveda tandem therapists, as well as teachers within our Ayurveda Foundations series, along with Cecilia Fernandez will be teaching a Dinacharya class. “Din” literally means “day” and this class is all about how to perform self care throughout your day to keep yourself in Ayurvedic balance.
