is a private nonprofit behavioral health organization since 1992 that provides psychiatric rehabilitation services, residential rehabilitation services, residential crisis services and respite services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness in Garrett County, MD. Delivery of services meets the needs of the individual in a manner that is respectful, responsive, and responsible. services are licensed and approved by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) for Garrett and Allegany counties.

Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc., Wellness & Recovery Center had the BEST time in Creative Therapy today! 💘🎈

Service users made the cutest Valentine’s Day hot air balloons using plastic ornaments, handmade “baskets” made from cups and twine, and decorated them with pom poms and an adorable little bear to ride inside! 🧸✨

Everyone got so creative and the room was filled with laughter, teamwork, and lots of Valentine spirit. These turned out amazing and we’re so proud of all the hard work and imagination that went into them! ❤️🌹

Today our Wellness and Recovery Center took a special trip to deliver Valentine’s Day cards to local nursing homes as part of our Community Integration goals, and it was such a heartwarming experience. Our service users had the chance to spread kindness, connect with others, and truly make a difference in someone’s day. The residents were so grateful and absolutely loved the cards, smiles, and conversations. It was a beautiful reminder that something as simple as a handmade Valentine can mean the world to someone. We are so proud of everyone who participated and helped share the love! 💌❤️
