Release Technique Take charge of your body aches & chronic pains! Foam Rolling & Self Massage Release Techniques

01/29/2026

Nervous system regulation and somatic exercise are the missing pieces if you struggle to relax during massage or bodywork.

If you catch yourself bracing, helping, or holding your body “just right,” you’re not doing anything wrong. You’re in control mode, and that makes it almost impossible for the body to truly receive care.

After long days of sitting, working, and managing everything, surrender doesn’t come easily. That’s where Release Technique comes in.

Slow, intentional foam rolling teaches your nervous system that it’s safe to soften. Not force. Not fix. Just receive.

I created a free Release Evening Ritual Guide to help you practice this at night. It’s an audio-based somatic foam rolling ritual paired with healing music by my brother , creating a full meditative, sound bath–like experience to help your system truly downshift.

Comment “Guide” and I’ll send you the free Release Evening Ritual Guide so you can fully surrender and experience deeper relaxation in your next massage session.

Be honest. Do you find it hard to fully let go and receive bodywork?

Jaw tight. Teeth clenching. Face holding stress you didn’t even notice.
That tension doesn’t live in just one spot. It settles under the jaw, down the neck, into the SCM, cheeks, and temples.

This reel shows a gentle place to start so your jaw can soften and your nervous system can finally exhale.

Want the full release?
I teach a 30-minute Jaw Relief Masterclass for TMJ support and facial ease. Pay once. Keep it forever.

💬 Comment “JAW” and I’ll send you the full Jaw Relief class.

Did you know jaw tension connects to the neck and chest?

Foam Rolling for Sacrum & Deep Glute Release (Perfect If You Sit All Day)

If you sit a lot, this one's for you. 💛

Your sacrum and deep glute tissue take on more than you realize, especially after long days at a desk or in the car. This gentle wall release with one or two tennis balls helps restore movement, improve circulation, and ease low back and hip tension.

Move slowly. Bend and straighten the knees. Let the tissue soften instead of forcing it.

This is the kind of release that makes standing up feel lighter and easier.
Save it for later and tell me how it feels.

Myth: If your shoulders are tight, you need to stretch your shoulders more.
Truth: Your triceps might be blocking your shoulder mobility.

When tricep tissue is dense, the shoulder can’t move freely—no matter how much you stretch.
That’s why effective foam roller shoulder mobility work starts outside the shoulder joint.

This side-lying foam roller exercise helps:
• release deep tricep tension
• restore shoulder range of motion
• make overhead movement feel easier, not forced

Slow it down. Breathe. Let the tissue respond.
Mobility improves when the body feels safe—not pushed.

If you’re looking for foam roller shoulder mobility exercises that actually work, you’ll find more inside my full foam rolling classes (link in profile).

When your shoulders feel stuck, what does your body ask for first?

12/30/2025

Every winter, the body holds more.
Even as life slows down, tension builds quietly.
Shoulders creep up. Hips feel heavier. Breathing gets shallower.

The nervous system adapts to cold, less movement, and longer stretches of sitting and without intentional release, that holding can linger into pain.

Starting January 13, I’m guiding four weeks of live foam rolling classes every Tuesday night at 7:30 PM PST.

You’ll release stress layer by layer and find steadiness again, no matter where you roll from — studio or home.
