Three things you may not know about 🤱🏿

✨ Breastmilk changes over time! The composition of breast milk is not static; it changes to meet the evolving nutritional needs of the baby. Colostrum, the first milk produced after birth, is rich in antibodies and nutrients to boost the newborn's immune system. As the baby grows, the milk's composition adjusts, providing the right balance of fats, proteins, and vitamins.

✨ Breastmilk contains live cells: Breastmilk is a living fluid containing live cells, such as stem cells, immune cells, and beneficial bacteria. The presence of these live components helps protect the baby from infections and promotes healthy growth.

✨ Breastfeeding can lower the risk of certain diseases for mothers: It has been associated with a reduced risk of developing certain diseases, such as breast and ovarian cancer, type 2 diabetes, and postpartum depression. The hormonal changes that occur during breastfeeding help in the contraction of the uterus, reducing postpartum bleeding and aiding in faster recovery after childbirth.
