🌙✨ Sacred Not Secret is back — this Saturday.

Growing up shouldn’t feel confusing, scary, or shame-filled, especially when it comes to our bodies.

This beautiful moon cycle + self-care workshop creates a safe, supportive space for girls ages 10–16 and their parents to learn about menstruation, body literacy, and meaningful self-care rituals for this powerful season of transition.

Guided by Asatu Hall, LM, CPM, MPH, this experience blends education, empowerment, and community in a way that feels grounded, affirming, and sacred.

Yesterday the youth led the action. Midwife Asatu has been coordinating a collaboration with where Birthland will have an opportunity to work with and hopefully inspire high school interns. Well yesterday they inspired us!! They were out there helping to coordinate and lead the march. Demonstrating what joyful resistance can look like. It was the hall passes for us 🤣. Shout out to the teachers that are guiding these young people ❤️

Learning of her passing has really rocked all of us, a too familiar story, way too close to home.

Inspired by how these Māori folks are shutting down parliament, we lift up our Native and Indigenous peoples in resistance across the globe.

Regardless of how we arrived to the US, we conduct businesses, buy homes, pollute the land, grow community gardens etc. because of the restraint and grace that is extended to us by the Indigenous people of these lands.

We hope that the service we provide in Oakland is respectful and in right relationship with this place. We recognize our proximity to privilege and aim to practice humbly on this sacred land.

Today, if you are not Indigenous, skip the land acknowledgment and pay the land tax to your local Native or Indigenous organization.
