Recently, my husband and I became parents, and honestly? It’s been a nightmare! Every time I lay our baby in his crib, he starts screaming nonstop, day and night. I’ve tried everything—different lullabies, rocking him for hours, white noise machines, even swaddling tricks I found online—but nothing seems to help. MY FIANCÉE DECIDED TO LOCK MY DAUGHTER TO EXCLUDE HER FROM OUR WEDDING – I OVERHEARD IT AND CAME UP WITH A PLAN.

I met Emily three years after my wife's death. A bit later, I introduced her to my only daughter, Amy. They got along straight away.

So, soon I proposed, and we started preparing for the wedding. While talking about my daughter as a flower girl, Emily suddenly began offering her little nephew instead, and only him. But I insisted on having my daughter there.

On the day of the wedding, I passed by a room on the way to the altar and overheard Emily's bridesmaids talking:

1: "She was clear; we need to 'accidentally' lock Amy in this room before the ceremony."
2: "Is she nuts? That's her future stepdaughter. WHY?"
1: "Emily can't stand her looking like Jim's dead wife."

Wow... I was mad as HELL. NO ONE CAN DO THIS TO MY BABY. So, I came up with a plan.

Fast forward to now: Emily was walking down the aisle, all shining and smiling. But the very next moment, her face turned dark. ⬇️

My mom was hospitalized, so Dad and I went to collect her things, just following a checklist. It felt routine, nothing unusual, until I opened the safe to get her jewelry box... That's when I saw it — a note sitting on top. It read, "Don't show Lucy."

The thing is… I'm Lucy.

A HOMELESS MAN ASKED ME TO BUY HIM COFFEE – HOURS LATER, HE SAT NEXT TO ME IN FIRST CLASS

I was flying home to meet my fiancée's parents for the first time.

Before my flight, I stopped at a café, preferring its lively hum to the airport's sterile waiting area. As I sipped my coffee, a disheveled man walked in, hesitantly asking patrons for a drink. His worn clothes and tired eyes told a story of hardship.

When he approached me, I asked what he wanted.

"Jamaican Blue Mountain," he said sheepishly. It was the priciest option on the menu. When I asked why, he explained it was his birthday, and he'd always wanted to try it.

Something about his honesty struck me. I bought him the coffee and a slice of cake and sat with him as he shared a heartbreaking story of loss, betrayal, and bad luck. Before I left, I gave him $100, wished him well, and hurried to the airport.

Hours later, as I settled into my first-class seat, my heart nearly stopped. The same man sat down next to me.

But this time, he wasn't the same. Gone were the tattered clothes and weary face. He wore a tailored suit, and a polished watch glinted on his wrist.

"WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?" I stammered.
