All biological organisms interact with their environment through three primary pathways; electrical, chemical and mechanical. The data perceived and transmitted is processed through systems within the organism. Electrical data is processed by the nervous system, chemical data by the endocrine/hormonal system, and mechanical data by the cardiopulmonary complex. This simplified version helps us to understand how to sort the data and analyze what is really going on within and outside.
