On this day, December 4, 1969, Black Panther Party Illinois Chairman Fred Hampton and Mark Clark were assassinated by the Chicago Police & the FBI.

The murders of Chairman Fred and Mark Clark came at a time when the BPP was launching its struggle for community control of the police, a struggle that we are carrying forward today. In the words of Chairman Fred, “If you dare to struggle, you dare to win.”

We may not win today. We may not win tomorrow. But we still dare to struggle, and we will win community control of the police!

1988! Every time I see this picture I am reminded of a line from one of my favorite books that goes… “all things are possible for those who believe.”

When I started my 50+ years ago I just wanted to help my people heal. That was it. That was my mission statement. I didn’t have any examples to follow within my industry. I didn’t go to business school. I just had a vision.

Before a small business can become a big one, there has a to be a vision. And a belief. A belief that what you are trying to do, is possible.

If you have a vision, hold onto it. No matter what! It was given to you by the Most High. Write it down. And then it act on it. Don’t worry about the how. A way will be made.

Your job is not the how. It’s the what. What I mean by “the what” is the vision or the business you want to create. The most important thing to do is to focus on what you want to create and hold a space for that to materialize. 

If you allow your human mind to get consumed about ‘how’ the vision is are going to happen, it’s easy to get discouraged. 

The vision that we as Entrepreneurs receive is a direct download communication from the Most High. The Creator of all things will handle the how. The people, places and things that you need to be successful, will come. I wish someone told me what I’m telling you. Please save this post and tag someone that needs to hear it.
