This little girl born to two deaf parents certainly knows how to spread the holiday cheer! Watch her adorably interpret some holiday classics into sign language for her parents during a school concert.

Very entertaining video of a KODA (kid of deaf adults) enthusiastically singing holiday songs using sign language and animated facial expressions. Watch this...

Here is a great article about a new pilot program that encourages children to read by reading to dogs. Pets can be wonderful "friends" who help motivate kids to practice a new skill and build confidence. Bet our pets would be great listeners for practicing many speech and language skills, not just reading!

What a great idea for helping children understand/self-monitor volume!

What a great idea for helping children understand/self-monitor volume!

The volume of the kiddo's voice has been an ongoing issue. So his OT made this awesome 1 thru 5 scale to give him cues. I have to say its working well. Reminded him at the movies with a simple prompt to have a "1" voice for no talking. The other day he told me the screaming baby at the store had a "5" going on.

I may of been shocked she didn't know who Thomas was but teaching this she knows!
