We are in need of cake mix and icing for the center! Every student enrolled in our building gets a birthday bag and we rely heavily on donations for this task. If you are able to donate feel free to drop off at Oakland Elementary or email Sarah.carnes@warren.kyschools.us to make arrangements for pick up or delivery.
Thanks!!

When Kentuckians can’t afford to heat their homes in winter or cool them in summer, survival becomes a struggle.

For decades, this was a heartbreaking reality for some families. In 1981, Congress established the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) to address a growing crisis: families unable to afford heating and cooling during extreme weather conditions. LIHEAP was created to ensure no one has to choose between paying their energy bills and meeting other basic needs, like buying food or medicine.

LIHEAP provides financial assistance to low-income households, helping them stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. By reducing the risk of unsafe living conditions, LIHEAP protects families from the dangers of extreme temperatures.

This program serves seniors, families with children, and individuals with disabilities across Kentucky. Its mission is simple but vital: to keep homes safe and livable for those who need it most.

Help us spread the word about how LIHEAP makes a difference for Kentuckians season after season. Share this post today!
