Who Will We Serve?
The answer is simple: EVERYONE

Our new Cumberland clinic will open to the public, offering care to anyone in the community who needs it–no matter your background, insurance status, or life circumstances.

We’ll also serve residents of Union Rescue Mission, if they choose to receive care with us.

Because our mission is clear. “To faithfully follow Christ as we seek to enable healthy, abundant living in the lives of all our patients regardless of their physical characteristics or personal beliefs."

We are so honored to partner with URM, whose mission to offer hope and restoration to the homeless aligns beautifully with our own calling ot enable healthy, abundant lives through Christ-centered care.

Together, we’ll bring light and healing to a space designed to restore.

What About OB Care?
💭At this time, our Cumberland location will not provide obstetrical services
BUT –
Our other Wellspring sites do offer prenatal care and deliver at Garrett Regional Medical Center.

We’d love to walk alongside you during your pregnancy journey–wherever you are!

What Will We Be Doing?
We’re not just opening a clinic–we’re building a medical home.

Our new site will include:
✅ One physician
✅ Several APPs (NPs and PAs)
✅ A behavioral health specialist
✅ A team of care managers, navigators, and support staff

We will provide advanced primary care,
meaning we treat the whole person–physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. From chronic conditions to care coordination, we want to be your first call and your long-term health partner.

After months of prayer, planning, and partnership, we are excited to share why Wellspring is expanding to Cumberland.
This opportunity began with a bold step by Wes Moore and his administration, who launched a statewide initiative to increase access to advanced primary care, especially in underserved areas.

The Maryland Department of Health and HSCRC identified just a handful of zip codes across the state for this pilot program – areas with:
Health professional shortages (HPSA)
High deprivation (ADI)
Poor overall health outcomes
Low primary care use
High ER visits for preventable issues
Significant social barriers to health
Limited hospital/bed access

📍Cumberland/LaVale was selected–and we at Wellspring saw it as a clear calling. Just as we did in Garrett County, we want to respond to the needs of this community with faithful, high-quality, whole-person care.

We are honored to take part in this mission to expand health equity, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
