Malaya Acupuncture & Wellness Center's goal is to help guide our clients to achieve optimal wellness via the use of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Dietary and lifestyle changes. Emil specializes in women’s health, emotional wellness and musculoskeletal pain management. Emil Velasquez started Malaya Acupuncture & Wellness Center in Oakland, California with a vision to help promote wellness via the use of Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in his community.

Marielle is the in-house mental health therapist at our clinic, offering compassionate support to families and couples through attachment-based therapy. As a bilingual (Spanish and English) Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she specializes in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach designed to enhance connection, communication, and security in relationships. Since graduating from UC Berkeley in 2013, Marielle has helped many couples and families build stronger, more secure bonds.
