Center for Elders' Independence PACE senior healthcare plan serving San Francisco East Bay residents. We keep seniors living at home

Center for Elders' Independence (CEI) is a non-profit health plan that's been serving the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years, providing the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) to seniors age 55 and older who prefer not to move into a nursing home but whose health problems make it impossible for them to stay at home without the help of caregivers. PACE is a nationally recognized model of long-term care that offers a broad range of medical, social, and day health services in home-based and community-based settings. CEI's mission statement is to provide high quality, affordable, integrated health care services to the elderly, which promote autonomy, quality of life, and the ability of individuals to live in their communities. The Fund for Elders' Independence (FEI) is a foundation supporting the work of the Center for Elders' Independence.

Please join us in congratulating Angelique Ogden-Jarata, this year’s recipient of the Marc Abar Memorial Scholarship for Clinical Education — one of the many ways the CEI Foundation invests in our team and the future of senior healthcare.

Angelique began her CEI journey 22 years ago as an Activity Coordinator, and through hard work and dedication, advanced to become a Clinical LVN. Now, she’s taking the next step in her professional journey — pursuing her Registered Nurse (RN) degree.

During a special ceremony at PACE San Leandro, Angelique received a $5,000 scholarship check from the CEI Foundation. CEI Foundation Director Liz Anders, along with Nakia Miller, proudly presented the award in recognition of her hard work and passion for service.

💙 When you support the CEI Foundation, you’re helping dedicated healthcare professionals like Angelique continue their education — strengthening the compassionate care that defines CEI. To donate, https://ceifoundation.elders.org/mark-abar-rn-memorial-scholarship-fund/
