I got fully certified as a sensorimotor therapist last weekend. It's been a long haul to do it. I even had folks use the isstd statement against me to say I should not be admitted to level 3 when they heard I was having trouble because of my neurodivergence getting accepted in level 3.

But the sensorimotor folks changed the structure of level 3 to better accommodate neurodivergence and accommodate more diverse folks like myself as a result of my push to attend, which is heartening. And I made it through that grueling year even while I was working on both a full book to publish and also a chapter in a collective book on neurodiversity clinical work and also clinical guidelines for AAMFT on TNBGE for neurocomplexity

It sucks to have to knock one's head on walls and I'll keep doing it to make doors

Some of you may remember the ground breaking qualitative research paper that Turell et al published over a year ago on gender affirmative care with folks who are plural / DID / OSDD called "It's Just a Body." It was the first paper written by a team of out trans and plural researchers and the very first research paper to have a system name appear on it from the research team.

Part 2 was just published! It's another qualitative study. This time the study looks at how systems gain internal consensus to achieve a direction when seeking gender affirmative care.

The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) clinical guidelines for Transgender, Non Binary, Gender Affirmative Care is out! I wrote the section on Neuro complexity. This includes plurality / OSDD / DID, schizophrenia, developmental delays, ADHD, and Autism (what I could respectfully address in 750 words, though I know it includes so much more)
