Trouble digesting fats? Your stool test might hold the clues.

🧠💩 This graphic breaks down key causes of fat malabsorption—a hidden factor that can affect your brain health, energy, and even longevity.

When fat isn’t properly absorbed, your body misses out on essential nutrients like omega-3s, fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K), and cholesterol—all critical for hormone balance, cell membranes, and brain function.

Over time, this can impact cognitive health, immune resilience, and overall healthspan. Don’t ignore chronic bloating, oily stools, or nutrient deficiencies—test, don’t guess.

🧬 At our clinic, we take a root-cause approach to optimize digestion and absorption, supporting your long-term vitality. California Center for Functional Medicine

Hope to see you at the speaker series tonight in Greenbrae, CA. I anticipate an exciting discussion on the new Lyme Clinical Trials Center (CTC) at UCSF, funded by Bay Area Lyme Foundation. The Clinical Trials Center aims to address the need for high-quality, innovative clinical trials to develop evidence-based treatments for patients with chronic/persistent Lyme symptoms—a population that has grown to more than two million Americans and continues to increase. In this gathering, we will learn more about plans for this UCSF node of the nationwide Clinical Trials Network and what Dr. Felicia Chow and her team hope to accomplish. The host for the evening is Kirsten Stein, Lyme patient advocate, and member of Bay Area Lyme Foundation’s advisory board. https://www.bayarealyme.org/events/speaker-series/
