UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland is a national leader in pediatric care with over 30 sub-specialties including pediatric hematology/oncology, neonatology, cardiology, orthopedics, sports medicine, and neurosurgery. Nationally recognized as a global resource for advanced pediatric research and medical education, we are home to one of the largest fu

nded pediatric research centers in the in the country. Children's is one of only two solely designated California Level 1 pediatric trauma centers with the largest pediatric inpatient Critical Care Unit in the region. Children’s offers care from sub-specialty trained pediatricians. Because our specialists work exclusively with kids every day, they see the subtle things others could miss. They can find where it hurts when a child is too young to tell them. All children deserve a hospital that’s just for them, where the doctors and nurses know how to provide the highest quality medical care without losing sight of the person entrusted to their care. It's why so many children get better under Children's care and have since 1912
