We are a part of a growing trend in mental health services that acknowledges and seeks to address the need for therapists and counselors who are multiculturally competent. Our clinicians are devoted to developing that awareness and skill-set, and are themselves a diverse and growing group of practitioners who offer a variety of approaches to mental wellness.

Check out this incredible offering from one of our very own, Olivia Treviño!

I'm excited to be offering another Resilient Play workshop on Sunday, April 20th! This one is for BIPOC &/or q***r folks (one or both identities) to gather and cultivate joy, connection and expression, so we can stay vital and alive in the "WTF Smoothie" that is now this country.

In times designed to make us feel isolated, invisible and numb, let’s exercise the divine muscles of imagination, creative instinct, relational attunement, embodied expression, and communal co-creation. Through guided group exercises, we will tap into the power of improvisational play, vibrantly fill space, and insist on being healthy and whole so we have energy to thrive, resist and dream new futures. We will be silly, gorgeous, and messy!

Tickets are on sale now for this workshop and for the final workshop in the series on May 11th for BIPOC, q***r folks, and allies.

✨ Happy Black History Month! ✨
Black History Month began in 1926 as a week-long celebration founded by Carter G. Woodson. It expanded over time and was officially recognized in 1976 to honor Black achievements, resilience, and contributions. Black History Month is not just about history. It’s about honoring the fight for justice, amplifying Black voices, and dreaming of a better future for Black communities. You can honor Black History Month by listening to, learning from, and amplifying Black voices, supporting Black-owned businesses, and donating to Black-led organizations. We at Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health honor the work and legacy of Black leaders, healers, and educators.

Today, we find ourselves in a moment of reflection. For many, the election results have brought an uncertain future, threatening the progress made in civil rights, basic human rights, and community safety.

We stand in solidarity with those who feel the weight of these results. We are united with every community—especially our Black trans community—who may feel vulnerable or disheartened. Our hearts go out to those facing challenges and uncertainty, but remember: we are here, we are resilient, and we are in this together.

Now, more than ever, our mission is vital. We are committed to standing alongside you, advocating for justice, equity, and safety for all. Together, we will continue pushing forward, empowered by solidarity and unwavering in our pursuit of freedom.

I just wanted to take a minute to check in with you all. I know the holidays aren't always the best time and I wanted to give you a little extra love if you're struggling.
You are not alone.
We just have to get through today, right? One foot in front of the other.
