Many clinicians are eager to learn and engage in leading edge practices and modalities that do more than symptom management but promote healing and recovery for their clients.
Become a Brainspotting (BSP) trained professional! This Brainspotting Phase 1 is the foundational training and prepares you to be a beginning Brainspotting professional. Throughout the training, you will learn the neuroexperiential model - the Brainspotting perspective of working with a wide array of clients and client issues.
Brainspotting is a powerful and effective brain based (limbic system) and body (somatic) approach to healing and wellness that harnesses the nervous system’s ability to reorganize and realign itself, enhancing resilience and facilitating change. Discovered in 2003 by psychotherapist Dr. David Grand, Brainspotting accesses the brain-body's innate self-scanning and self-healing capacities in the context of neurobiological and relational attunement. In Brainspotting, a person's brain-body activation around a particular issue is paired with a relevant eye position, called a Brainspot, that locates, processes and releases trauma, allowing the brain-body system to regain homeostasis.
This training comprises theory, live demonstrations, practice and Q&A periods. Upon completion of this beginning Brainspotting Phase 1 training, professionals are able to return to their practices and provide Brainspotting to clients.
