We help Oakland-area folks who are “allergic to the gym” develop a strength and fitness routine without feeling awkward, embarrassed, or overwhelmed so they can FINALLY find joy in movement and appreciation for what their bodies can do. Up your self-care game - literally

Sometimes completing that crossword puzzle, or Sudoku, or Wordle is just SO SATISFYING, right?

And sometimes we need a little nudge to put our own mental and physical health at the top of our long-ass list of things to do.

For the month of August, we're taking our love of games, dopamine hits, and self-care to make feeling good a little more attainable and fun.

Wave hello 👋🏻to our new instructor, Jessie!
She's been delighted to find how welcoming and easygoing all of our clients are, and has been taking charge of Tuesday and Thursday night classes with me as her sidekick. Jessie's naturally friendly and upbeat personality combined with her experience in designing programs has made me very grateful that we found each other! We're getting into the playful realm of class design for our one-of-a-kind Rebel Recess class and I'm having a blast sharing that with her. I can't wait to see how she adds her personal flavor to the class. It's one of the most creative classes we offer, which also can be the most challenging to plan for. Mark your calendars for that class to return to its slot on our schedule on Saturday July 19th at 9:00 am! I'll be there to help kick things off and I'm so excited about it!

"I’ve been working out at Bliss Fitness and Health for about three years, and it’s truly been a transformative experience. I’ve taken group classes with both Mona and Kelly, and I’ve also done personal training with Kelly.

Here's the hype about our Tues & Thurs 7 am class!

"The 7am Morning Hype class at Bliss Fitness has been a game changer for my fitness. I am able to ensure that I get my workout in before starting my day and that has allowed me to consistently get my workouts in. I feel stronger and can stay strong with just 2 classes a week! It is a great, fun, interesting workout with a terrific instructor and others sharing my passion for staying strong."

We know, we know...you really *want* to get flexible but you don't want to go to a whole class about it. And we heard you have the intention to do your own stretching but you haven't been able to make it stick.

And sometimes doing a high intensity workout for a whole class (particularly mid-week) feels impossible.

Here's where we meet you in the middle for both of these!

This class will combine our signature fun fitness shenanigans with extended time devoted to improving your range of motion. In addition to building your strength and cardiovascular health, you'll also take care of your nervous system and your flexibility goals with slower activities. Foam rolling, mobility work, dynamic, active, and static stretching techniques will be incorporated in class so you leave feeling accomplished and expansive!

This day/time will continue to be taught by Mona.

Rebel Recess is discontinued on Wednesday nights, but you can still get that class on Saturdays at 9 am with Kelly.

Badass Bonding Over Brunch (this Saturday!)

Do you love brunch? We do! We are so fortunate to be just down the street from the iconic Mama's Royal Cafe () where they have been serving up tasty omelettes, decadent eggs with hollandaise, french toast (omg their challah french toast is heavenly) and so many other scrumptious specialties since 1974!

We love hanging out with our Bliss Buddies and it's time to give you all a chance to bond over something other than workouts. So we're combining two favorite things this Saturday!
- Come to Kelly's 9 am Rebel Recess class
- Walk down to Mama's for brunch at 10:15 am

Typically brunch at Mama's on a Saturday requires waiting for a table, but we've partnered with them to save us some seats so we get the VIP treatment.
Therefore, it's **very important that we get a headcount by Friday morning.**



Don't want to workout on Saturday morning? That's cool, you can still sit with us. As long as you let us know you're coming for brunch by RSVPing.

I'm going to hit snooze at least once, probably twice.
Except on Tuesdays and Thursdays so Kelly can turn me into a lifting, jumping, sweating, and smiling fitness nerd at 7 am.

If I can do it, you can too.
