For this group, we are so happy to announce that group will be co-facilitated by one of our very own Young Mothers, Jade! Jade is a Peer Lactation Support person and will be help in leading this conversation, recounting on her own experience as a mother and discussing her breastfeeding journey! Bring your questions to group, check out our tips here, and make sure to show up to our IN PERSON group happening TODAY 8/20 at 3:30 pm in our Wellness Center at 583 5th Street, in OAKLAND! Two summers ago, our brilliant RJ Summer youth leaders broke down the Four Core Tenets of Reproductive Justice — a powerful framework that centers the lives, voices, and futures of BIPOC communities. Here at Dream, we center all of our work in repro justice - no matter what it is that we do!

From the right to have a child, not have a child, parent in safe environments, and bodily autonomy — this is in practice!

We’re teaming up to bring front and center in youth spaces — combining forces to elevate youth health, leadership, and empowerment, especially for communities of color. 🌈✊🏽
This collaboration is a powerful reflection of Dream’s motto: “Local Impact, National Reach.” 🌍❤️

Together in this collaborative, we will:  🌱 Build mentorship + leadership pipelines rooted in RJ 📣 Align on campaigns for real policy change 🧰 Share toolkits, media, and educational resources 🎤 Co-host workshops and community events 🧠 Coordinate youth-centered RJ trainings — and so much more!

Hi Youth + Community! 👋🏽👋🏾👋🏿✨ What a WEEK! RJ Summer Week with our new collaborators was nothing short of powerful. ✨ From origin stories to real talk, birthing justice, and teen-led convos on menstrual health—every day was packed with youth-led brilliance and bold visions for reproductive justice and partnership. 💥💬
We kicked things off with .aisha.m, Bajha & LaKia, dove into candid convos at Real Table Talk, discussed all things RJ in the medical field with our youth interns for Dream Health collaborative, uplifted young mom voices, and closed it all out with a block party full of joy, community care, and celebration! 🎉💛

Deep gratitude to everyone who showed up and showed out for our community! The impact? Already poppin! The work is far from over but we are so thrilled to be sharing this work with our dear friends over at SisterSong! Let’s get a local impact and national reach y’all! Stay tapped in—we’re just getting started. ✊🏽

Hey youth and community 🌟🌟 🌟, Last week was a powerful, heart centered celebration and showcase of Dream’s youth work and a re-connection and deepening of our partnership with our RJ besties !! Our team showed up and showed out… and now we REST!!

Reproductive Justice is also about reclaiming our rest and restoration so that we can live our best lives everyday!

So we’re taking today to rest and to bask in all the youth RJ energy that we cultivated with our young people last week!

We’re back open tomorrow… youth come and see us!! 🌟🌟🙌🏾🙌🏾🎉🎉
