Teresa's Qcc is full of caring and wonderful staff. The owners Salina & George are amazing. They put their full heart and knowledge into their home. My Father is a resident there. They keep me well informed of what's going on and always welcoming when I visit multipletimes weekly. Not only do they care and give medical assistance to my father, they go above and beyond to include their residents as part of the family. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to place their loved one in a board and care. I know the decision can be stressful, but when you meet the staff here your worries get eased. They are on top of all the care your loved one needs. They handle everything from med schedules, medical equipment, bathing, laundry, housekeeping, meals, activities and more while they strive to provide a comfortable happy atmosphere for their residents. The home is a clean safe environment in a nice quiet neighborhood next to the Marina and park with shopping nearby.

Happy Saturday! Today, is the perfect day to do a puzzle 🧩! Did you know that studies demonstrate that card games, puzzles, and board games are good mental stimuli and help promote brain health? This is especially true for older adults! I hope today, you find the time to sit and enjoy a puzzle or two with someone you care about.

People who regularly play board games are less likely to develop dementia and depression. Taking time to relax and have some fun with others reduces stress, loneliness, and anxiety. Plus, games that involve strategy help keep seniors’ minds sharp. Research suggests that playing games slow the cognitive decline associated with aging.

Our first month in service has been such an amazing month! But I think the most amazing highlight of the month happened last Friday.
Rewinding to October 7th, we received our first resident who happened to be non-Ambulatory (not able to walk). He could do no more than use his upper body strength due to being bed bound for 3 weeks. Our caregivers began personal therapy with him immediately. With Love, Patience and their Consistent Encouragement. Our resident found the confidence to attempt standing and walking for the first time, with the assistance of his walker, and that he did! He walked at least 20 ft from his bedroom to the restroom. We were all amazed! Now we can’t get him to sit down lol.
Huge thanks to all of our staff, you guys Rock!
