Mindfulness helps us notice that space—so we can respond with intention rather than react from habit.

“Don’t beg for a seat at a table you were meant to build.”

This time of year naturally invites reflection—but truly, any moment can be the right moment to pause and take stock.

I’ve been sitting with this quote as it relates to relationships:
Where am I over-efforting?
Where am I trying to fit, convince, or wait to be chosen?
And where might it be time to gently let go and move on?

Mindfulness helps us notice when a relationship no longer supports our values, our growth, or our sense of ease. It doesn’t mean blame or failure. It means clarity. It means self-respect.

Sometimes the work isn’t trying harder.
Sometimes the work is trusting yourself enough to build something new—rooted in authenticity, boundaries, and presence.

Pause. Reflect. Listen inward.
You already know more than you think.

Join me on Thursday, Jan 8 at 6pm EST for a gentle and grounding evening of mindfulness as we welcome the new year with curiosity, presence, and intention.

In this 75-minute class, we’ll explore the practice of Beginner’s Mind — learning how to let go of old patterns and expectations while opening to what’s possible in the year ahead. Together we’ll reflect, breathe, and reconnect with what truly matters.
Class includes:
• A grounding opening meditation
• A short talk on beginner’s mind, letting go, and inviting in
• Guided reflection and intention-setting for the new year
• Time for optional sharing and connection
This class is appropriate for all levels and offers a supportive space to pause, reset, and begin again — gently.

Come new to this day.
Remove the rigid overcoat of experience,
the notion of knowing,
the beliefs that cloud your vision.

Leave behind the stories of your life.
Spit out the sour taste of unmet expectation.
Let the stale scent of what-ifs
waft back into the swamp of your useless fears.

Arrive curious, without the armor of certainty,
the plans and planned results of the life you’ve imagined.
Live the life that chooses you, new every breath,
every blink of your astonished eyes.
