The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has required updated warnings on the labels of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech's Comirnaty and Moderna's Spikevax) regarding the risk of heart inflammation.
Symptoms to Look For
The FDA advises vaccine recipients to seek medical attention right away if they or their child experience symptoms after vaccination, especially within two weeks:
Chest pain
Shortness of breath
Feelings of having a fast-beating, fluttering, or pounding heart (palpitations)

FDA has required and approved updates to the Prescribing Information for Comirnaty manufactured by Pfizer Inc. and Spikevax manufactured ModernaTX, Inc. to include new safety information about the risks of myocarditis and pericarditis following administration of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.
