Over the years you become aware that though you are a safe place for others, you have over looked your own internal environment.

You become aware that you deserve a comfortable place within, a safe place within your heart, mind, and body.

Then you become an active participant
in achieving that.

You unlearn the ways you've dealt with and mishandled yourself. You figure out what makes you tick, you get Self Detective and investigate what makes you feel safe, and then you practice giving that to yourself.

You take on the task of undoing the bed you have made for yourself and start doing the work to remake it. You will have to dismantle one reality and construct a whole new one, at the exact same time. It is difficult, and exhausting, but you haveing a safe internal environment, is worth every effort.
The work of regulating your systems so you can feel safe in your body, is worth it. The work of rewiring your brain to work with you and not against, is worth it. The work of getting your heart in alignment with peace and contentment, is worth it. You are worth it.

One of the best things you can do
is become a safe place for yourself.

Here's to the bridge-builders, the hand-holders, the light-bringers, those extraordinary souls wrapped in ordinary lives who quietly weave threads of humanity into an inhumane world.

They are the unsung heroes in a world at war with itself. They are the whisperers of hope that peace is possible.

Look for them in this present darkness. Light your candle with their flame. And then go.

Build bridges. Hold hands. Bring light to a dark and desperate world. Be the hero you are looking for. Peace is possible. It begins with us.
