We are SO thankful for our staff!! Whether they are our full time staff or our part time staff, they love animals and are here to help!!

We are looking to add another veterinary assistant to our staff. This is a full time position with livestock experience preferred. This position has benefits, paid time off and paid holidays. A little Friday Funny to kick off the Memorial Day Weekend and remind you while you cannot and should not ride your cow to the GROW Decatur County Foundation’s Cruise Night, you definitely should go!!

GROW Decatur County Foundation’s Cruise Night is the place to be tonight. Bring you cars, trucks, and motorcycles, your daily driver and classic cruisers and join the fun! Eat a pork burger or grab some ice cream, chat with friends, cruise main like you used to and maybe even relive some memories.

Are your bags packed? Flights booked? Is it on the family calendar?

Vacation season is here!! Family trips, traveling ball tournaments, reunions, trips to see family and even just that weekend getaway are a part of what makes summer so special.

Our clinic does day boarding as well as weekend and extended stay boarding.

We provide Science Diet pet food, temperature controlled indoor accommodations as well as outdoor runs and a grass area for your dogs to run. We allow for your pet to have their own time to play and exercise. We board both cats and dogs. Our dedicated staff will keep them well cared for while you are away.

Our spots fill up fast, especially if Fido is a lab or Molly is a German Shepherd. Give our staff a call to schedule your boarding spot.

Important Information about boarding:
All pets are required to be current on their vaccinations to board. If updated vaccinations are required, that can be done at drop off.
We do have a cancellation policy very similar to people hotels so inquire about that.
Payment is due at the time of drop off.
We have the best kennel assistants around, please be as kind to them as you want them to be to your pet. They work hard to make your pet feel comfortable and well cared for!!

Pets ARE family which makes it hard to say goodbye to them.

We are here to make those final arrangements a little easier. Give our office a call to talk with us about all of your options including cremation.

Our staff can assist you with urn selection and paw prints when that time comes.

Our office will be closed on Monday May 25th for Memorial Day.

If you are needing medications refilled, vaccinations (don’t forget about those rattlesnake vaccinations), pet food, flea and tick medication, cattle supplies or to have your pet checked for some concerns you have, please take time to get those picked up or scheduled before the weekend.

Our boarding stays busy starting this time of year so if you are planning a trip or even just work at your home where you need day boarding, now is a good time to get that scheduled too!

Our office is open regular hours this week.

Heartland Veterinary Service is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team! This position is primarily focused on cattle work, but we’re also looking for someone comfortable and experienced with dogs and cats.

What we’re looking for:
• Strong interest or experience in cattle/large animal care
• Ability to assist with small animal (cat & dog) cases
• Hard-working, reliable, and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment

Position details:
• Full-time
