Dr. William Gaya Dr. William Gaya, MD PA - Ocala, FL Neurologist Since 1997, Dr. William Gaya has provided neurological care to Ocala and Marion County residents.

Dr. Gaya is a graduate from the University of Puerto Rico and completed his residency in neurology in 1996 at the VA Medical Center. Then, Dr. Gaya continued his training in the area of neuromuscular disorders at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with special qualifications in vascular neurology (2008-current) and clinical neurophysiology (1999-2009). He was a Fellow Member of the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine from 1998-2008. He is currently an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Florida Society of Neurology. His practice is characterized by his commitment to provide the most current care with a compassionate approach to neurological disorders. The extensive field of neurology covers conditions like epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease, stroke, migraines and neuropathy among others. Our goal is simply to make a difference in our patients lives.

This is the update for week #2. All proceeds go directly to the Alzheimer's Association. A big thank you to all of you who have contributed one way or another (sharing, reposting, donations, words of encouragement, etc.).
These are the 8 recommendations I have for you to fight Alzheimer’s disease:
1. Sleep well
2. Socialize
3. Smile more, relief the stress
4. Exercise
5. Eat healthy foods
6. Eliminate sugary foods, alcohol and smoking
7. Keep normal blood pressure and cholesterol
8. Donate to Alzheimer’s Association, participate in research when possible, volunteer in fund raising programs. Every bit helps.
