As we close out 2025, I’m taking a moment to recognize the people who make Absolute Health what it is.

This team shows up every day with professionalism, compassion, and a shared commitment to delivering personalized, root-cause care. The work we do is demanding, meaningful, and deeply human — and it’s only possible because of the people in this room.

Our end-of-year gathering was a chance to reflect on growth, celebrate wins, and appreciate the collaboration that fuels everything we build together. I’m grateful for the culture, the dedication, and the integrity this team brings to our patients and our community.

Are mitochondrial antioxidants worth it?
I often get asked whether newer options like MitoQ are the right choice. While it does act as an antioxidant, it’s also a synthetic molecule not naturally found in the human body, and long-term human safety data is still limited.

For patients who truly need mitochondrial support, I prefer ubiquinol — the active form of CoQ10. It’s naturally occurring, has decades of clinical research behind it, and is well-tolerated in long-term studies.

We’re proud of our team at Absolute Health for stepping up to support the Pay It Forward Food & Toiletry Drive in partnership with the Marion County Medical Society Outreach Corp.

A big thank-you to Vedaine, our amazing admin assistant, for being the first to bring in donations — and to our entire team for rallying behind this cause. 🙌

We brought 20+ supplements across the world…
…but forgot the most essential one. 😅

4 days into our trip, the kids are still staying up all night.
Jet lag. No routine. No sunlight rhythm.
And definitely no melatonin. 😩

Last night, at 1:07 AM, I found an open pharmacy in Salalah.
Walked out like I just won the functional Olympics. 🥇
Melatonin: secured.
Sleep? TBD.

Functional parenting isn’t always perfect.
It’s messy. It’s real.
Sometimes it’s just showing up — and regulating your nervous system at 1am outside a pharmacy in Oman. 😂
