What exactly is “dry needling??”

Dry needling is a treatment utilized by a select group of professionals (trained and CIDN certified PTs and chiropractors, mainly) to reduce pain and inflammation while improving blood flow and range of motion in a localized area of the body.

It can be used to treat a host of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, including acute strains, neck and shoulder “spasms,” joint sprains, chronic low back pain and even stress headaches and TMJ!

It involves the use of tiny needles to pe*****te the problem area and surrounding tissues, then electo-stimulation is added to override pain receptors and encourage the release of your body’s natural opiods and tissue-healing cells.
