Happy ! We’re all about water, so we will be sharing safe boating tips all week! ⛵️ 💧 🚤

Tip #1: Take a boating safety course. All District staff responsible for operating a boat must complete boating safety as well as safety checks on each boat prior to taking them out on the water!

Schedule a free vessel safety check with local U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary or U.S. Power Squadrons to make sure all essential equipment is present, working and in good condition. 💦

Snake eyes! 🐍👀
Eastern coachwhips are one of the longest and fastest snakes in Florida. They need to be fast because one of their preferred prey menu items, six-lined racerunners, are also very fast. Three days on the Chattahoochee National Forest, 45 USFS employees trained in Stop the Bleed, CPR, and First Aid; two new instructors, Matt and Cory, pictured above with Elizabeth. Thank you to the Chattahoochee NF for hosting this and to Cory Hammond for setting this up for the Forest staff. It was a great couple of days in a fantastic area. Wishing Matt and Cory great successes as they continue to train USFS personnel!
