Arnette House Our Mission: Provide safe and effective programs to strengthen youth and families.

Residential Services
24 hour Emergency Youth Shelter for children ages 10-17 who are runaways, lockouts, homeless, truant or experiencing parent/child conflict. We also operate two Foster Care group homes for six boys and six girls which focus on the physical and emotional well-being of individual clients, and teach methods for sustaining basic life skills aimed at fostering self-sufficiency. Non-Residential Family Crisis Intervention Counseling
Our Master’s Level Counselors provide immediate crisis intervention and counseling which helps families resolve crisis situations and stay together. Other Services

◦Specialized Group Therapy and support groups for issues such as anger management and bullying
◦Parenting and Specialized Parenting classes
◦Case Management
◦Outreach and Prevention Services in local schools

Recently, a client we’ve had the privilege of serving over the years passed their GED and is about to turn 18! Our staff has watched them grow from a young kid into a resilient, smart, and self-sufficient young adult.

Arnette House is hiring for a Part-Time Direct Care Worker! This position works directly with the clients at our youth emergency shelter to support our mission of providing safe and effective services for youth and their families. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills and be enthusiastic about our mission.

Arnette House provides Emergency Shelter services for youth ages 10 – 17 who are runaways, lock-outs, abandoned, homeless, truant, or experiencing parent/child conflict. The Emergency Shelter provides basic living needs for up to 20 clients, with additional emergency beds available. We serve over 400 children each year. Services at the Emergency Shelter include:

Youth supervision
Food and clothing
Life skills education
Crisis counseling
Individual and family counseling
Recreation activities
Case management
Educational services (through local school districts)

The pay for this position is $19.00 per hour. Due to the nature of our shelter being 24/7, flexibility with scheduling is required. The schedule for this position will regularly include days on the weekend.
