Since joining Orangetheory Lawrence in September 2024, Andres has been on a mission to live a more active, balanced life — and he’s doing just that.

Originally from Costa Rica and now studying supply chain management and accounting at KU, he’s juggling workouts, recovery, and academics with heart and hustle. His favorite part of OTF? The community. Because nothing beats the kind of motivation that comes from pushing through a tough block side by side with friends.

Since starting, Andres has gained strength and built muscle, and he's now working toward bouncing back from a knee injury — one step at a time. All with Timber on blast and the Jayhawks in his corner. 🏀

So proud of these four members, and everyone else involved. 🧡 Very thankful for OFR for their quick arrival on scene, and for honoring these four the way they deserve! 💪🏻

During tonight's city council meeting, Ocala Fire Rescue awarded a life-saving commendation to four bystanders whose quick actions were instrumental in saving a life.

On June 23, Mike Crimi, Tom Culpepper, Katie Freeman, and Rafael Rosa sprang into action after witnessing a cardiac arrest at a fitness center. As emergency units were en route, they secured and used an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), waited for the device's analysis, and followed its recommendations to begin Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Their prompt intervention in administering CPR was vital in providing emergency care before professional help arrived, demonstrating their exceptional awareness and readiness to assist in a critical situation.

Mike, Tom, Katie, and Rafael, thank you for exemplifying the definition of an immediate responder and, in doing so, emphasizing the importance of rapid intervention in the golden hour.

Orangetheory Fitness Ocala

Ocala, Florida, is a beautiful place for hiking and biking, but for an intensive, full-body workout, seek out Orangetheory Fitness. We offer the ultimate workout. Orangetheory Fitness encourages each participant to reach his or her optimal heart rate, which allows them to have an intense workout that will burn calories for up to 36 hours after they've finished!

Orangetheory is an intense 60-minute interval training session in which you'll wear a heart monitor while moving through 12 different stations. Our unique color-coded system is displayed on TVs around the room, and you'll monitor your own progress in red, orange or green with orange as the ideal zone. Maintaining the orange level throughout your workout will result in the "Orange Effect," which includes increased energy and an intense burn.
