Highland Memorial Park and Hiers-Baxley proudly hosted this year's Annual 9/11 Patriot Day Ride to the Wall, honoring the memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001. The moving ceremony included a Presentation of Colors by a multi-agency Honor Guard, the Pledge of Allegiance led by a proud World War 2 Veteran, reading of the 9/11 Timeline, and a flyover by the Marion County Sheriff's Aviation Unit. We welcome you to come to the Park to view the 9/11 wall for the rest of this month.
Thank you to Ocala Police Department, Marion County Fire Rescue, the wonderful people at Vets Helping Vets, our local partners at Wreaths Across America, and 1-800-BOARDUP for playing a key role in the event. We also want to thank Mr. Lemonade, MISSION BBQ, and Ocala Jeep Club for coming out to be a part of the event!
