I have been a practicing licensed massage therapist for two decades now in Ocala, Florida. There is nothing more rewarding and no greater feeling of accomplishment then having a client tell you that you have helped them overcome a chronic pain that they were told only surgery would fix. This is why I lean towards the more therapeutic approach to massage therapy. I have been very successful at helping to reduce chronic pain in necks and low backs, reduce the frequency and intensity of migraines and cluster/tension headaches, restore ROM in frozen shoulders, etc. I have worked with very prestigious doctors during my career and have expanded my knowledge of the body beyond what an LMT learns in LMT school. This massage uses lighter and longer strokes to lower blood pressure, increase circulation, and release seratonin (The natural "happy drug") that our body produces.
