My Mother, Jennifer Howie, & her Dad/Papaw, James Morgan. They are buried side by side at Highland Memorial Park. Papaw had Morgan's Drive In in Syracuse, Indiana back in the 50's & 60's. He was a sign painter as well & came to Sarasota, Florida during the winter. At which time he would paint for the Circus Companies in the area (Cristiani & Ringling). Here is a picture of him painting the Cristiani Brothers Circus Truck. My sister came across a model of the same truck recently. Mom & Dad moved to Ocala in the late 60's, Mamaw Morgan passed away in Sarasota in 1972 & Papaw Morgan moved here that year, passing in 1973...

I have literally sat where you've sat in our funeral homes and our cemetery, during that difficult time of uncertainty, making arrangements for family members over the years. At Hires-Baxley Funeral Services and Highland Memorial Park YOUR dash matters. I hear people all the time say things like - "I don't need anything, I'm not gonna pass away anytime soon.". Tell that to my son or my mother that passed away at 58 years old. Or, "I need to talk this over with the kids.".
