🌺 Spring is the season of celebration.💫 Mother Earth 🌍 wakes up and causes sprouting. Energy moves up, blooming and full of color 🌈

The transition from winter to spring can be an exciting and joyful time. Animals, plants, and insects start to come out of their winter slumber and re-awaken into the season of growth and possibility 🐛🦋

In Ayurveda, the transition into spring is a time for decluttering the mind and rejuvenating the body so you can flourish into an optimal awakened state🤍

The qualities of spring are warm, moist, gentle, and unctuous. Due to the suns warmth and the accumulated snow and ice of winter begin to melt. 

Similarly, accumulated kapha (the mind-body energy force responsible for lubrication and sustained energy) in the body starts liquefying and running. That is why so many of us get spring colds. In addition, as flowers start to shed their pollen and emit sweet fragrances, many people get  allergies, runny noses, asthma, and congestion.

If you are feeling lazy, greedy, or attached, you probably have excess kapha. The best way to heal these symptoms is to follow a kapha-reducing regimen. 

In this workshop we will have a 90 minute Ayurveda spring sequence. And try some ancient formulas and recipes to nourish the body: asparagus soup, spring salad, and kapha nourishing tea 🍵

We will cover three tips for taking care of your body and mind during the transition into spring 🌱

Please join us for Breathing and Meditation on Fridays from 10:30 to 11 am ✨

Meditation and pranayama are some of the most powerful practices for supporting physical, mental, and emotional well being.

Breath by breath, moment by moment, we can begin to settle the nervous system and bring our focus and energy inward.

Pranayama teaches us how to consciously work with the breath to balance prana, life force energy, cultivating mindfulness and supporting overall well being.

Meditation teaches us how to sit with ourselves and notice what arises, supporting focus, concentration, and self awareness.

Together these practices create space to notice, to feel, and to return to present moment awareness.

While these practices can be done alone, there is something very powerful about practicing in community 🫶

Sitting together.
Breathing together.
Supporting one another in the simple act of being present.

You do not need experience.
You just need a willingness to show up.

Over the past months our space has been filled with love, grief, memories, and so many shared moments.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, reached out, and held this community with such care🫶

Now we must continue the life practices. Not to move on. But to move inward👁️🫀

Yoga practice invites us to sit with what is here.

Joy. Grief. Gratitude. Discomfort.

Breath by breath we practice noticing, allowing, and softening our grip on the need for things to be different.

To notice. To feel. To allow. To heal.

Without attachment. Without judgment.

May we continue these practices.

May we continue to show up for ourselves and each other.

May we continue to lead with LOVE🤍
