We are a group of highly skilled doctors of physical therapy who are interested in the goals of each patient, it is for this reason create individualized treatment plans. No cookie cutter

approaches here, we look at the patient’s goals, impairments and prior level of function in assisting us in choosing the best treatment approach for you. Our therapist will begin with a thorough examination of the area, surrounding joints and soft tissue in order to determine the proper physical therapy diagnosis and course of treatment for your condition. The uncertainty of not understanding your condition and how it will affect your future functioning can be very stressful. We believe that patient education is a very important component of the therapy process; therefore, you can expect your therapist to fully explain their findings and how therapy will help you achieve your functional goals. We will work in tandem with your referring physician in order to come up with the best treatment plan for you. The therapist will always take in consideration your goals when creating the plan of care
You should expect the same quality of care from your first visit to your last. An office visit will vary depending on your diagnosis and may include one or many of the following: therapeutic exercises, therapeutic activities, postural and balance training and manual therapy interventions.

I read this on the APTA's website a while back and thought I'd share.
Pain is output from the brain. While we used to believe that pain originated within the tissues of our body, we now understand that pain does not exist until the brain determine it does. The brain uses a virtual "road map" to direct an output of pain to tissues that is suspects may be in danger. This process acts as a means of communication between the brain and the tissues of the body, to serve as a defense against possible injury or disease.
