Hello!

Although I rarely use FB, this may be the most reliable way to reach my clients and the community. It has been months since I have given an update. I apologize for the wait and for my prolonged absence. It has taken this long to find the diagnosis and I wanted to be sure of my condition before updating my status.

Unfortunately, it will still be some time until I return to massage therapy. I was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. The next step is to figure out which kind, since one can be quite dangerous. Once we figure out which type and what needs to be done to remedy the issue, I would like to return to massage, but only part-time. For the meantime, I will continue to go to doctor appointments, physical therapy (hopefully no surgery), and do all I can to achieve optimal health.

During this downtime, I realized I needed a back-up plan and started looking into different careers to utilize my degree. After many months of searching, I received a call yesterday and was offered a position as Student Support Specialist at Grays Harbor College. It saddens me to leave massage full-time, but I know it will always be a major part of my life.

I am committed to giving clients my best effort and would not want you to expect less from a massage therapist. Until I can do so again with certainty, I look forward to helping our community in a different way, by supporting students in Grays Harbor find new careers through higher education and trade skills. Maybe I can convince a few to go to massage school!

I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to everyone who made a difference in my practice. You all played a major role in shaping me into the practitioner that I am today. You’ve showed me that our small town is huge in love and support. Trusting me with your health and well-being has meant more to me than you’ll ever know. I couldn’t ask for a better community.

Temporary pause for healing:
A personal health note from Leilani

I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits.

I wanted to reach out personally to share some important health updates with you. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been managing some unexpected medical concerns, particularly related to cervical neck pain and now, blood pressure regulation, both requiring further evaluation.

After consulting with my care team, I’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to pause all massage appointments until I have a safe and stable bill of health. As a therapist, I always encourage my clients to listen to their bodies. Now, I’m giving myself that same permission.

While I don’t yet have an exact return date, I plan to take this time to rest and follow up with my doctor at my next appointment. Once I have more clarity and it’s safe for me to return to practice, I’ll reach out with an update and, hopefully, a timeline.

If you had an upcoming appointment, I’ll be contacting you individually to cancel and let you know when it’s safe for me to reschedule. Meanwhile, I have a list of local therapists at the bottom of my page that I can refer you to if you need massage as soon as possible. The button at the bottom of this page will link you to my website.

In the meantime, thank you for your continued support, understanding, and patience. Your care means more than you know.

Hello Ocean Shores and surrounding area! I don’t update much here but wanted to reach out and thank everyone for their support. It means so much to me to be accepted into our community and provide my services.

If it seems like it has been difficult to get ahold of me, you’re right! I have been having a challenging and overwhelming time navigating through voicemails and am training my son to help me with the administrative side of my business.

My phone is usually off during the day so it does not disturb clients. The easiest way to check my schedule and make an appointment is through my website.

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. As of next week, it is time for me to say farewell to my office in Beach Bum Fitness. It is bittersweet, to say the least. Michelle, Joe, and the whole Beach Bum Fitness family has helped me reach the community in ways I could never do on my own. I still love everyone here and will continue to honor discounts to gym members.

I am sad to say goodbye but excited for a new endeavor. My new practice is located in the James Building across the street from the Ocean Shores Library. The new address is 548 Point Brown Ave NE Unit A.
