North Beach Vision Clinic is looking for a part time (around 30 hours per week) optometric tech. The job would consist mostly of assisting the optometrist, while also being willing to help with front desk tasks. Prior experience is preferred but not required

Job Responsibilities:

- Pre-screen patient prior to seeing the doctor as well as diagnostic testing
- Gather and input patients medical history
- Answer phone calls, greet patients and schedule appointments
- Train patients on proper contact lens use and care
- Check in, dispense and adjust glasses

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

To our valued patients. We are opening our doors Monday (5/18). We ask that you follow these new protocols to ensure the safety of you and others.

- In order to maintain social distancing we are available by appointment only. We have expanded our time slots to ensure adequate time for your appointment with these new protocols in place.
- We ask that you arrive independently for your exam unless accompanying a minor to an appointment. You may be asked to wait in your car until your appointment time as space is limited in our waiting area.
- Upon arriving for your exam or dispensing of glasses/contacts, we ask that you call ahead and wait in the parking lot until instructed to enter
- Over the phone we will ask if you have any changes to your insurance and may request copays
- When entering the office we ask that you use the the hand sanitizer that will be provided and that you wear a mask into and out of the office. If you do not have a mask we will provide one for you.
- All equipment, glasses and exam rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized throughout the day between each and every patient
- When picking out glasses we ask that you narrow your search down before trying on glasses. We will provide a basket to place worn glasses in for sanitation purposes.
- If you are experiencing any fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of smell/taste please call to reschedule.

To our valued patients,

With the status of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we want to assure each of you that the health and safety of our patients and employees is absolutely our top priority. We recognize that virtually everyone has been impacted in some way by this situation. Our thoughts and prayers are with anyone directly affected by the coronavirus.

Until further notice our office will be closed to all annual comprehensive eye exams. Our Hoquiam office will be open daily from 10:00am to 2:00 pm to dispense glasses and contact lenses. North Beach Vision Clinic will be open only on Wednesdays from 8:00am to 12:00 pm. If you are experiencing any visual disturbances, painful eyes, loss of vision, headaches, infections or broken glasses please call our office and leave a voice mail, we will be checking it often (360-533-7395)

Our priority remains keeping Hoquiam vision and North beach vision patients and employee’s safe and well informed while doing what we can to help minimize potential spread of the coronavirus. We are also committed to being available to you as needed to protect your eye health.

We will continue to monitor this pandemic throughout the days and will notify you of any changes affecting our daily operations. Please check our website and page for any updates.

To Our Patients,

In light of the current COVID-19/Corona Virus Pandemic, we are implementing some preventative policies for the safety of our patients and staff.

Furthermore, we respect any decision you make with regards to your upcoming appointments. We are happy to reschedule you if you would like. However, we ask that you please call us to reschedule and not come in to reschedule.

We will implement the following additional safety precautions:

1. We will ask patients to sanitize hands upon entry to the office. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available for use.
2. Our staff will be extra diligent in sanitizing equipment before and after each patient.
3. Only patients requiring care should enter our building. Drivers, spouses, guests, etc. will be asked to remain in their vehicle.
4. If you have been sick with a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, or any other concerning symptoms we kindly ask that you reschedule.
5. Our staff has the right to refuse service to anyone who does not comply with these safety measures.

We will keep you posted as this situation develops and changes are necessary to keep all of us safe.
